On Thursday, the CEOs of Detroit's "Big 3" Automakers (Wagoner-GM, Mulally-Ford, Nardelli-Chrysler) will appear before the Senate Banking Committee to petition Congress for up to $34 billion in bailout cash, topping the original $25 billion proposal. After all, what's $9 billion more when it's taxpayer money? These captains of idiocy may dupe Congress with a collective bargaining strategy that has put the UAW to shame! The submitted business plans request up to $18 billion for GM, $9 billion for Ford, and $7 billion for Chrysler. Let's hope that these "business plans" are a bit more sophisticated than the vision and foresight that has shaped the Motor City for the past 20 years...
Phase 1: Collect Taxpayer Money
Phase 2: ?
Phase 3: Profit
