Sotheby's successful Old Masters London sale could be very good news for my better half.
Interestingly, Old Master paintings may be viable alternative asset investments, particularly for those wealthy enough to significantly diversify their portfolios during an economic recession. While contemporary art genres have shown their susceptibility to boom and bust cycles, the Old Masters appear to offer a more stable and predictable art market.
I will have to ask a certain someone to guest blog about why this may (or may not) be the case...
